Faces of the Pennsylvania Medicaid Program

This report sheds light on the complex funding and organizational structure of Medical Assistance in Pennsylvania; provides an overview of eligibility criteria and services covered; as well as, a textual, statistical and graphical “face” of those currently benefiting from the health care program.  Most significantly, the report provides maps illuminating the distribution of Medicaid recipients on a county-by-county basis.

The Reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP): Implications for Pennsylvania

This report provides the background to SCHIP, describes the major components of SCHIP legislation, structure and interaction with Medicaid.  It also describes the way Pennsylvania designed CHIP and displays CHIP enrollment data.  The report then analyzes basic decisions that will need to be made as part of the reauthorization of the program and the importance of these decisions for Pennsylvania.
