The Pennsylvania Medicaid Policy Center (PMPC) is an independent and non-partisan source of information and analysis about Pennsylvania Medical Assistance.
The PMPC's mission is to increase understanding of the Medicaid program among key stakeholders in Pennsylvania, including policy makers, consumers, providers and the general public. The PMPC aims to illuminate the role that Medicaid currently plays in the state's health care system and economy, as well as provide analyses of the likely impact of reform proposals.
In order to achieve these goals, the PMPC:
- Develops policy reports and fact sheets.
- Hosts public forums.
- Collates and makes easily-accessible data related to Pennsylvania Medicaid, including at the county level.
- Provides resource materials, such as contact details, including web links, for key organizations involved in the provision of Medicaid and an overview of the program's legislative history.
